Southwestern Receives Grant To Host Second French Film Festival

The French Program at Southwestern University has received an $1,800 grant that will enable it to host its second annual communitywide Tournees Film Festival.

Suzanne Buchele won't have much sympathy any more for students who don't turn their work in on time. Buchele, an associate professor of computer science, returned to Southwestern this fall after two years of teaching students in the West African country of Ghana. There, she says, students face real hardships such as a lack of power for computers.

Southwestern To Host Program For Future Hispanic Leaders July 20-27

Nearly 250 aspiring Hispanic leaders from the United States and Mexico will be at Southwestern University July 20-27 to participate in the Texas Lorenzo de Zavala Youth Legislative Session (LDZ) sponsored by the National Hispanic Institute.
